After
a successful career in banking, Sheila decided to
concentrate on her passion, helping people make their homes
comfortable and serene. Making homes the haven we all want
continues to be her goal.
Sheila is a Certified Interior
Redesigner and a Certified Home Staging Specialist.
She also graduated from the School of Interior Redesign in
Fairfield County, Connecticut and taken a series of design
courses at a local college. She is also a member of the
Association of Design Education, and of IRIS
(Interior Redesign Industry Specialists), whose members are
often seen on HGTV’s Decorating Cents TV program.
But it is her years of accumulated
experience with no-nonsense design that brought her
to where she is today.
Sheila’s home has been in two charity
House Tours, and her kitchen was featured in a
national magazine.
“Everyone
has specific talents”, she says. “I cannot hit a ball
or program a computer, but I have always had a knack for making
a home more beautiful, restful and comfortable. It always gives
me great joy when family or friends seek my ideas for improving
the look and feel of their homes.”
“I work within all budgets,
in jobs both big and small. Although most of my work is with
full service decorating, I still love the challenge of Redesign,
using what is already in the home. I enjoy uncovering hidden and
not so hidden treasures just as much as purchasing all new
things for a home”.
Sheila works to take the fear and
intimidation out of making a home just work better.
“I recognize that traditional Interior Decorating can be
daunting; I never intimidate but always collaborate with a
client”
As
a “Super Shopper”, Sheila loves finding things for
her clients. “I am a big bargain hunter, so I am always looking
for the best deal for my clients”, she says.
I work with large and small budgets, but always seek the best
value.”
Sheila and her husband Ed
live in a beautiful center hall colonial in Rockville Centre,
New York. With the youngest of three children off to college,
this empty nest still remains the gathering place for their
extended families.
Although the traditional style of her house gives her tremendous
satisfaction and joy, Sheila loves the challenge of working in
all different styles. |
